The Islamic Center of Melville (ICM) sits on the largest and most centralized area in the New York metropolitan area. It is a religious, educational, social, and charitable non-profit organization. The ICM showcases Islam as a balanced way of life, promotes clear Islamic teachings, and aims to help the American society – Muslims and non-Muslims to live in harmony.
The Islamic Center of Melville was established in October of the 2000 with the purchase of 2.58 acres on the service road of the Long Island expressway, located in downstate New York. The area is vibrant with individual of the Muslim, Christian, and Jewish faith. The ICM is a power center for interfaith and intercultural dialogue.
Our interfaith dialogue has helped thousands of everyday Americans to see clearly what; Muslims, our beloved prophet Mohamed’s teachings and our Quran …are all about.

As we continue to grow exponentially, we have outgrown our current facility. We are in the process of building our new home that will have the following:
Like an infant that very quickly outgrows out of its outfits, the congregation of the ICM has grown exponentially. With that said the ICM will be building a state of the art 45,000 square ft. facility to meet the increasing demands of Muslims of the greater New York metropolitan area.
The facility will have the following:
Regular Islamic prayer schedule, celebration of Islamic holy days and events, Funeral & burial arrangement services.
ICM offers Educational Programs, such as Weekend School, Educational forums, etc for the muslim community.
Celebrations of birthdays, graduations, weddings, Summer Camp, Family counseling, Organized gatherings & seminars.
Charitable Collection and distribution of Islamic funds (Zakat and Sadaka) for the betterment of muslim community.
